In-person surveys

We run face-to-face surveys with our own interviewers on the street, in homes or at points of interest. This is the right approach to reach people who are less present online, or when a study needs direct contact at a specific location.

01What it is

An in-person survey is a structured interview administered face to face and recorded on a device. It allows precise control over where each case is collected and reduces the coverage bias that can affect online surveys in populations with lower internet use.

Afiches organizes fieldwork with its own supervised team: we define survey points, train interviewers on the questionnaire and check the data on the same day. In-person fieldwork can be combined with online recruitment in the same study.

02When to use it

  • Populations with low connectivity or older adults.
  • Territorial studies in specific neighborhoods, towns or municipalities.
  • Surveys at points of sale, events or public spaces.
  • Mixed-mode designs combining in-person and online fieldwork.

03How we work

  1. Sample designWe define areas, points and quotas.
  2. TrainingWe train the team on the questionnaire and selection criteria.
  3. FieldworkInterviewers collect the cases and enter responses on their devices.
  4. SupervisionWe check location, timing and data consistency the same day.
  5. ProcessingWe weight the dataset and produce tables and a report.

04What we deliver

  • Weighted dataset.
  • Tables and breakdowns by area and profile.
  • Report with key findings.
  • Field supervision report.

05Questions

Which areas do you cover?

We coordinate in-person fieldwork depending on the country and area of the study, and specify it in the proposal.

Can it be combined with an online survey?

Yes. A mixed-mode design covers segments with lower online presence through in-person fieldwork.

How is fieldwork quality controlled?

Through team supervision, location and timing checks for each interview, and same-day consistency reviews.

Tell us what you want to measure and we’ll put together a proposal.
